Combing for Naxals continues in Kodagu

Kodagu superintendent of police Anucheth said combing operations has been intensified on the border of Kodagu to nab four Naxals who were found in the region.

Speaking to presspersons here on Saturday, he said it was confirmed that a Naxal team was found near Udumbe near Makutta forest. To collect information on the team and to nab them, the police have intensified combing operation. “We have taken the help of Kerala police. We are cautious and will ensure that there is no cross-firing between Kerala and Karnataka police,” he said.

The SP said the police will continue their raid on gambling centres in the district. The public can inform the police on gambling activities in villages.
