Sri Krishna Vidya Mandira located at Siddapur in Virajpet taluk of Kodagu district has earned the distinction of being the only school from Kodagu district to bag the Scouts and Guides award.
The awards were presented at a simple function organised at the Raj Bhavan in Bangalore on February 5.
According to information received here on Friday, eight students had participated in the function from the school to receive the awards. They were B.M. Karthik Shenoy, C. Sajin, B.A. Tirthaprasad, B.A. Likhita, Navaneeta, K.N. Namruta Bhat, B.G. Nitya, and B.P. Diana.
Governor H.R. Bhardwaj and other guests, the former Chief Minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Minister for Higher Education C.T. Ravi, and Minister for Primary Education Vishveshwara Hegade Kageri gave away the awards.
